Co-designing a coaching programme for you
The first step would be a no obligation free call to explore if coaching is right for you and whether I’m the right coach for you (30 minutes).
Coaching can take place over the phone, Skype, or face-to-face. I also often work with clients outside, walking in woods, by rivers, on beaches … I’m adaptable to exploring what will work for you!
A typical coaching package would involve an initial ‘discovery’ session (1.5 hours) in which we’d identify what you need for the coaching to work for you, explore what really matters to you and gain clarity over what it would be like if the coaching was successful. This would be followed by approximately 6 sessions (45 minutes each), usually fortnightly (sometimes weekly if appropriate).
Each session will end with some clear activities (actions, decisions, goals) and inquiry (reflection on a theme or question) that will bring about learning and change. As a coach I insist on bridging reflection with taking action, so that in time, each day starts to manifest what is important to you.
The next session will start with ‘checking in’ on what you have learnt through your actions or inquiry. Then what happens will be responsive to what you bring and what you want to gain from the session. The majority of the session will be exploratory, examining what change might involve and enable, embodying the experience of taking different perspectives, working to trust your inner resources and paying attention to your emotional responses. It will also involve shifting unhelpful habits of thought, overcoming fears and reframing self-limiting beliefs.
Coaching is confidential and an ethical practice. I follow the International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics
I also have Professional Liability Insurance.
